I N T E R A C T I V E  D E S I G N 

Week two summary:

Tutorial One:

For today tutorial we were instructed to bring two objects today, a little different than last week. We were asked to bring, 1.) a object which we thought provided good function over aesthetics and 2.) a object that we find playful. 

For my objects I bought a:

Slinky,

and a Swiss army knife,

I chose the slinky as I think its hours off fun stretching and contracting the simple metal design, its interactive and works well! In contrast I bought my mini swiss army knife which is always attached to my keys. I chose this for functionally as I think it functions very well as in a compact design which when necessary provides an apparatus for every day uses such as a knife for cutting, or mini scissors when necessary. Its defiantly functionality over aesthetics when it comes to the swiss army knife as it performs better than it looks.

After we each presented out items we disused and sorted all of our objects into groups and then did a brain storm on the certain groups we put our objects into and then talked about which sense we could experiment with, with each group like a grater and touch for example.

Good discussions today and helped me to think about what I want to do, I think I may go for the touch sense as it is one of my favorite and something I would like to experiment with.
