Lecture Two


In our second lecture for 141 we were introduced to flickr and were instructed to make an account and join the group so we can participate in the weekly exercises we would have for this paper. We look at the aspects of paper and how we could transform it from becoming a weightless form with no physical attributes to a form which has weight and can be thrown around and used for other forms such as dart just from folding, scrunching and constructing with the material. The lecture helped us to think about the physical material itself and steer away from having such an open mind and just looking at the material as "paper". This lecture was helpful to start thinking about my own materials and helped me to just think about the product like when a drink bottle is placed in front of my it isn't a drink bottle but plastic, like wise with a coke can where the product isn't just a coke can but it is tin which can be used it many different forms. 


This lecture was very useful to get my head in the right space and think deeper about the material itself.
