Week Two Summary:
Tutorial One:
Today we looked over 3Ds Max in more deepth with Sunny and also completed 6 tutorials for 3Ds Max. We played around with our forms we created in Solidworks and played with adding modifiers to see how we could alter the form.
After this session I decided to change my three words as after the lecture I figured that my words had no narration so I choose three new words. I wanted to choose a set of words around something which provides movement as I feel that when presentations comes around I will be able to present it well. When I thought about movement I though about a form or object oscillation from left to right creating a swing movement which brought my to think about how snowflakes oscilate as they enter the atmoshere and make contact with the ground especially as its winter and its so very cold in this computor room. I then came about my noun being flake as it created a scene in my head with a snow flake entering the earth oscillating as it bought the word brittle to my head as my adjective as I felt it illustrated the physical attirbutes of a flake which links to oscillation linking them alltogether.
Three New Words:
Flake: Noun,
a small, flat, thin piece, especially one that has been or become detached from a larger piece or mass
Ocsillating: Verb,
To swing or move to and fro, as a pendulum does.
Brittle: Adjective,
Having hardness and rigidity but little tensile strength; breaking readily with a comparatively smooth fracture, as glass.
Prescedent images for each word:
Flake
Oscillating
Brittle
Here is a sketch I did to think about my words more in my head and how I will be able to execute and show these in my model.
