M A K E & M O D I F I Y

Week One Summary:

Tutorial Two,

First thing we did into the lesson we immediately backed up all of our work which we will do every start of tutorials so we do not loose any work. After that the tutor chose random individuals to present their blogs and what they had so far, I was one of the lucky few so I presented to the class my words, precedents and what I was thinking so far. Good start to the lesson as it got me in the right thinking zone. We were then instructed by the tutor to choose on of our precent images and place it into photoshop and remove the background and whatever we though was unnecessary isolating the main idea or what we saw in the image which intrigued us in the first place

I started of with this image as my adjective devour
And after photoshop I ended up with this image to present what I really thought were the description of my word devour lied in the image

After that was produced in photoshop we moved into SolidWorks were Earl told us to form some 3D shapes taken from the image which we would later put into 3DSMAX to render. At this point I was stuck as I felt there isnt much I could gain in this image in context with generation 3D shapes so I changed my initial image to my precent image I had for 'active'

I could see clear and visable forms of shapes when I looked at this image, so once I put this into solid work I created the forms as such

As you can see in the image above I sketched around the streams of light as I felt that best showed my perception of active through the imagery.
After I made the skecth 3D and removed the background this is how my form had turned out, ready do be trasnfered into 3Dsmax and rendered as a trial play to get us thinking about how were going to go through with this project.

Lastly we were instructed to trasnfer our new forms into 3Dsmax to render, we were shown how to add effects such as melt or bend to create interations of our initlal forms.

I found this tutorial extrememly useful as I am a roockie to both SolidWorks and 3Dsmax and doing these exercises got me thinking about what I could do for my project myself and it was actually fun!
